Psychotherapy

PSYCHOTHERAPY offers you a long-term, in-depth exploration on an open-ended basis. Psychotherapy encompasses you and your life in all its complexities and facets. You’ll experience the results iteratively and unexpectedly; think of it as a slow-but-rewarding-burn process. Psychotherapy is for you if you prefer to work holistically and/or have experienced a range of challenges over an enduring period.

Counselling?

COUNSELLING offers you a focused approach on a particular area of your life over a designated number of sessions. Counselling is as intensive as you are ready for it to be. There is no quick fix, however you can experience a sense of gaining clarity and freedom around a certain topic. Counselling is particularly suitable if you prefer to work with focus within a set timeframe.

My approach is about more than exploring your past – it’s about expanding your self-awareness to give you more choice in your present and future.

We start by building a reliable and trusting working relationship. For some, this can be the first of its kind. This will be the foundation that grounds and holds you in your therapeutic journey.

We explore what brings you to therapy and what it’s like to be you – the public and private you. Time will be given to exploring difficult life events or feelings that you would like to make meaning of, and potentially gain release from.

Integrate

We’ll form a deeper connection between your past and present, your psyche and soma, yourself and others – whatever is appropriate to you. The aim is for the healing experience of empathic attunement, regulation and reparation to be integrated and the lost parts of you reclaimed.
