WORK WITH ME
Hello, I’m Jenni
I'm a relational psychotherapist offering in-person therapy in Kings Cross, London and Margate, Kent. I have over a decade's experience helping people heal attachment trauma, rebalance relationships and create huge shifts in their personal lives.
This is how I look close-up.
I'm someone who realised early on that our relationship with our primary caregivers helps shape us, our brain and our body, and that we need a reparative relationship to help us learn new, healthier ways to have adult relationships.
That reparative relationship is what I offer you as your therapist. It’s not just about how much I know, the multitude of modalities and theories I am trained in, it’s how I show up in relationship with you as a human.
This relationship is where the deep healing and transformation happens and it is possible for anyone who is ready to try.
MY EXPERIENCE
I began my private practice 11 years ago in London working in a range of settings including the Harley Street Medical Area, NHS, charities and The School of Life. Today, my approach draws on a range of psychotherapeutic models including attachment theory, relational psychoanalysis, neuroscience, polyvagal theory, psychodynamic theory, body psychotherapy and mindfulness.
MY BACKGROUND
Before qualifying as a psychotherapist, I worked as an editor for a global media agency and as a freelance journalist. My creative background helps me work with openness and curiosity, as well as understand the pressures of a demanding professional life.

My special interest is in paternal trauma, paternal absence and how our early relationship with our father shapes us as adults.
My expertise
My expertise is in relational trauma. You might have also heard it called attachment trauma, complex trauma, developmental trauma or trauma with a small ‘t’.
My special interest in paternal trauma and paternal absence (including emotional absence) began when I noticed the lack of focus on the role of the father during psychotherapy training. I then set out to make the effects of childhood paternal absence on adults the focus of my post-graduate research.
I continue to invest in my professional development by attending courses led by experts in their field. My recent trainings include:
Executive Coaching (University of Cambridge)
Modern Fatherhood: Balancing Traditional Expectations with Changing Gender Norms (NScience)
Masculinity & the Dilemma of Vulnerability: Working Affirmatively with Male Clients (NScience)
Revolutionising Trauma Treatment (Babette Rothschild)
Working with a Client’s Emotional Triggers (National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioural Science)
Working with the Pain of Abandonment (National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioural Science)

My qualifications
MA in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling
(The Minster Centre, London)
Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling

Foundation Certificate in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy
